Laptop problems?

hi just got this laptop second hand,when i click on a link ,in my email ot anyware else it dosnt come up ,nothing happens,anyone know why,think it might be to do with this pop up i keep getting telling me to sign up to registry cleaner,and if i do the pop ups will stop,ive downloaded a free trial of bulldog spyware cleaner ,and ive installed ad aware,and others but nonthing stops the pop up even though i have pop up blocker switched on ,can anyone help please ,i dont have a disc to reinstall windows,my laptop is a dell latitude 6500,thanks for any help .

There the wrong software your installing as they only scan your PC for infections off line, you want Internet security to prevent your browser being hi-jacket with ad ware pop ups. This one will bomb them all without doing a scan, its a 30 day trial, but be aware to shut it down after its done the business by right click on it in the task bar

i Had the same problem as you and i had Norton software in stalled in the end i went to Norton help it cost me 拢69 to get rid of the problem .know it cost but worth it in the end good luck
bit of advice...

bulldog is BAD Dog! Sounds like you have somekthing running or attaching itself to IE. Follow the TopDawg's advice (see above TOP CONTRIBUTOR as he is pointing you to the right place)

Additionally, go into Program Files and see if there are any oddballs hangng around. MyFreeWeb, BullDog, any oddballish names... they are prolly the problems.

System Mechanic 7 is a pretty decent piece of software (you get a 30 day trial) and usually will fix most anything wrong with your system.
