there's a virus on my computer and i've tried everything to take it off! i restored the computer, and it came back a few hours later. then, i downloaded spybot - search and destroy to take it off, yet my computer is still slow and the virus is still on my computer - it only took off some of the spyware. is there any other free way to take the virus off of my computer? please, it would be very much appreicated if you help!

You need to run a good virus scan.
Try AVG- it's free and does a good job. Keep the virus scan updated so you don't have this problem in the future.

The best FREE way to take the virus off is to run your recovery CDs.
Go to Microsoft web site live onecare safety scanner it should work...try it
When you say restore do you mean, selecting a restore point? If so, that is a big no no, if your computer is infected the first thing you do is to turn off system restore, so that the virus does not get stored on the system restore point. You better go here for help, before things get worse.

write down the virus information(when you did the virus check it will give you the virus informatiom) then you have to go to those files and when you get to the end then delete that file .Then you reboot your computer and do another virus check to make sure it is gone.
